Dr. Louis Boileau brings over 18 years of clinical
experience, specializing in the many aspects of
cosmetic surgery to his practice of Plastic Surgery.
Graduating with a Doctorate in Medicine from the
University of Alberta, he then completed a
residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
through the University of British Columbia,
Vancouver, after which he traveled to Lausanne,


Switzerland for a one year Fellowship, training in Cosmetic Surgery where he was
exposed to the various facets of aesthetic surgery, including working at one of the
first clinics to offer liposuction worldwide.

Dr. Boileau then opened his practice in Prince George, British Columbia, where
along with a significant trauma and reconstructive surgery exposure, he developed
a busy cosmetic surgical practice. He was instrumental in helping to establish the
first private surgical facility in the provinces central interior. In addition, he also
was a consultant surgeon at the False Creek Surgical Centre in Vancouver. Dr.
Boileau has the experience needed to discuss the full spectrum of cosmetic
services available for todays patients in a relaxed and informative manner.

In 2004, Dr. Boileau moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, along with his family. He
continues to offer consultative and cosmetic surgical services periodically in British
Columbia but is chiefly involved in offering the latest innovations in cosmetic
surgery at the first free standing private surgical facility in the Maritimes: The
Landings Surgery Centre.

Dr. Boileau is an active staff member at the South Shore Regional Hospital,
Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Fisherman's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, Nova
Scotia, as well at the Prince George Regional Hospital, Prince George and St.
John Hospital, Vanderhoof, both in British Columbia. In B.C. he holds a position as
a clinical associate professor in the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Louis Boileau is an active participating member in the Canadian Society of
Plastic Surgery, the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Nova
Scotia Medical Society, the Atlantic Plastic Surgery Society, as well as other
bodies dedicated to furthering education and expertise in the practice of Plastic
Surgery. He is a member of the Canadian Medical Association, and is licensed
both in Nova Scotia, and British Columbia.

Dr. Boileau has published numerous peer-reviewed articles as well as book
chapters dealing with various aspects of cosmetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Boileau is a
board-certified member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of
Canada.
