The Landings Surgical Center is located on the waterfront in downtown Halifax
with ample parking available.
Dr. Bendor-Samuel, Dr. Boileau and the staff regularly attend training courses
and synposia to keep abreast of the newest trends and developments.
Dr. Bendor-Samuel also teaches other surgeons the surgical techniques he uses.
Your surgery may be performed on an out-patient basis or with an extended stay
(less than 24 hours). If you require local accomodation for more than one
night, the staff will be happy to assist you whenever possible.
You will receive comprehensive written instructions to answer commonly asked
questions prior to your surgery. Our staff will provide you with full
assistance and will make themselves available to answer any questions that
might arise.
The choice of general or local anesthesia is made in consultation with
Dr. Bendor-Samuel and Dr. Boileau. The type of anesthesia used is determined
by both procedure and by your preference.
Immediately following your surgery, you will stay in our recovery room with
experienced nursing care until you are ready to go home or be transferred to
one of our two comfortable extended stay rooms.
Complete written instructions will be provided to you for your post-operative
care and follow-up.
